Kelsi Quick is a second-year PhD student in the Political Science Department at the UIUC and a Research Assistant at the European Union Center. She has a strong interest in exploring the tension between the supranational structure of the European Union and the sovereignty/autonomy of the domestic state. As a comparativist, she is particularly interested in examining how different countries align or don't align with the goals of the European Union, with the overarching goal of discovering ways that countries can better integrate with the EU while still maintaining their sense of sovereignty over certain national decisions.
